Starman

“In 1977 Voyager II was launched into space, inviting all lifeforms in the universe to visit our planet. Get ready. Company's coming.”

A visitor from another world wants one thing: to reach a crater in Arizona before his time on Earth runs out. He arrives in Wisconsin wearing the body of Scott Hayden, and Jenny Hayden (Karen Allen), the dead man's widow, is the only person he can ask for a ride. John Carpenter sends them west with the government close behind, and Jenny, who first drives out of fear, begins to see her husband's tenderness in this stranger.
