State Fair

“For the young in heart! And romantic oldsters, too!”

Margy Frake (Jeanne Crain) is a farm girl who goes to the Iowa State Fair with her family, restless and hoping the week brings her a change from home. Her father Abel (Charles Winninger) is sure his prize hog Blueboy will take the ribbon, and her mother has entered her mincemeat and pickles. Walter Lang shoots the fairgrounds in bright Technicolor and lets the Rodgers and Hammerstein songs carry the family from one booth to the next.
