Stations of the Cross

The Society of St. Paul's strict teaching sits between Maria (Lea van Acken) and the ordinary life of a fourteen-year-old, and it follows her from school to the kitchen table at home. Her family belongs to this traditionalist Catholic group, and every thought she has must be examined before God. Dietrich Brüggemann keeps her mother (Franziska Weisz) close, a woman whose love and whose rules arrive in the same voice.
