Stay as You Are

Giulio Marengo (Marcello Mastroianni), a middle-aged landscape architect in Rome, is drawn into an affair with Francesca (Nastassja Kinski), a young college student who seems to carry a trace of someone from his past. At home, his marriage to Luisa (Mónica Randall) has gone quiet, and the affair gives him a reason to leave it. Alberto Lattuada ends up on the pairing of the two, Mastroianni's tired face beside Kinski's open one.
