“Tonight - Daddy's coming home - to slice up more than just the cake!”

Jerry Blake (Terry O'Quinn) walks out of an insane asylum and settles in a new town under a new name, this time posing as a marriage counselor. He moves in on Carol Grayland (Meg Foster) and her son Todd (Jonathan Brandis), who take to him quickly. Jeff Burr keeps Jerry in his tidy cardigan, smiling at a family dinner table set for exactly the people he wants there.
