“A rare thing”

John May (Eddie Marsan) wants the dead to be seen off properly, even when no one else will come. He is a council case worker who searches for the relatives of people found dead and alone, then arranges their funerals and writes each eulogy himself. Uberto Pasolini places him among the unclaimed, and the film comes down to a simple question of who gets mourned.
