Storm in a Teacup

(1937)Directed by Ian Dalrymple, Victor Saville87 minComedy, Romance
“"When you grow up, you will get out— every time, no matter what it costs"”

In a small Scottish town in the 1930s, Provost William Gow (Cecil Parker) is a local politician who takes his standing very seriously. Then Frank Burdon (Rex Harrison), a reporter new to the paper, writes a story that makes him look foolish, and Gow sets out to ruin him. Victor Saville and Ian Dalrymple turn a small piece of town gossip into a feud, because pride swells fastest where nothing much is at stake.
