“Rule the school. Save the world.”

A car crash takes Alex Rider's (Alex Pettyfer) uncle, and the fourteen-year-old schoolboy is pulled out of class by MI6, who want him on a mission that could save millions of lives. Geoffrey Sax sends him through spy training he never asked for, with gadgets from Smithers (Stephen Fry) and a Prime Minister (Robbie Coltrane) watching from above. The screenplay comes from Anthony Horowitz's own novel, and Sax shoots it at a quick, comic-book pace.
