Story of a Love Affair

Paola Molon Fontana (Lucia Bosè) is the young wife of Enrico (Ferdinando Sarmi), a rich and possessive man who hires a detective to dig into what she did before they married. The search leads back to Guido (Massimo Girotti), the lover she left behind, and the old feeling comes up as soon as they see each other again. Michelangelo Antonioni's first feature follows the two of them as they plot against the husband, and Paola has to find out what she is willing to lose.
