“Everyone deserves to be loved.”

Marianne (Evan Rachel Wood), a fairy princess, wants nothing more to do with love after her fiancé Roland (Sam Palladio) turns out to be unfaithful. Everyone around her is chasing a love potion made from primrose, while the Bog King (Alan Cumming), who rules the Dark Forest and hates love, orders every primrose destroyed. Gary Rydstrom, a sound designer by trade, builds the story out of pop songs sung by fairies, elves and imps.
