Stranger Than Paradise

“A new American film”

A surprise visit from Hungary lands Eva (Eszter Balint) in the New York apartment of her cousin Willie (John Lurie), who has no interest in company and shows it. Jim Jarmusch films it in black and white, each scene a single unbroken take, and follows the cousins and Willie's friend Eddie (Richard Edson) from Manhattan to Cleveland to Florida. The film is about three people with nowhere to be and no way to say so.
