Strangers on a Train
“It starts with a shriek of a train whistle... and ends with shrieking excitement!”
Guy Haines (Farley Granger) is a tennis star with a career on the rise and a marriage he wants out of, and he has the bad luck to share a train compartment with Bruno Antony (Robert Walker). Bruno is friendly, curious and far too well informed, and he lays out a theory: two strangers could trade murders and never be caught. Alfred Hitchcock keeps the two men in close conversation, Guy's shoes beside Bruno's under the table.
