Strangers When We Meet

(1960)Directed by Richard Quine117 minRomance, Drama
“"I LOVE YOU BABY, BUT MY WIFE JUST REFUSES TO UNDERSTAND!"”

A marriage has gone quiet on a suburban street, where Larry Coe (Kirk Douglas), an architect, goes home each night to a wife he loves and a job that no longer interests him. Down the road lives Maggie Gault (Kim Novak), married and neglected, and Richard Quine lets the two of them drift toward each other across the lawns. Her house sits just down the road, a porch light left on in the evening.
