Straw Dogs

“Everyone has a breaking point.”

Charlie Venner (Alexander Skarsgård) and his friends are tearing up the roof of the Mississippi house where David Sumner (James Marsden), a screenwriter, has brought his wife Amy (Kate Bosworth) to settle in her late father's home. The locals are polite, but the friendliness feels sour, and Amy knows Charlie from before. Rod Lurie keeps the couple in that house, David at his desk, Amy at the window, the wrong people already walking up the drive.
