“She dropped out of high school this morning ... Tonight she's a Times Square hooker.”

Cookie (Melissa Leo) gets off the bus at Port Authority with her younger brother and no plan, having left her stepfather's house behind. A charming man named Duke (Dale Midkiff) is waiting in the terminal, and with nowhere else to go, she is soon working for him. Joan Freeman's film leaves Cookie with a brother to look after and a pimp who decides what she owes.
