“Get ready for a radical education.”

Verena von Stefan (Kirsten Dunst) wants to keep Miss Godard's Preparatory School for Girls exactly as it is, a place where she and her friends can be themselves in 1963 New England. The news that the school will be merged with a nearby all-boys institution sends her and Odette (Gaby Hoffmann) looking for a way to stop it. Sarah Kernochan builds the story around the girls' friendships, and the plot to save the school brings them closer.
