“We are all connected.”

Prince Hal (James McAvoy) is a young man in a world of marionettes, whose father has been killed and whose grief hardens into a single purpose: vengeance against the rival Zeriths. He does not know that his uncle Nezo (Derek Jacobi), who wants the throne, is the one behind the murder. Anders Rønnow Klarlund builds the whole film from puppets, so Hal sets out with his strings held fast and a certainty that is not his own.
