Stroker Ace

Why does a champion NASCAR driver keep turning up in a giant chicken suit? Because Stroker Ace (Burt Reynolds) is under contract to Clyde Torkle (Ned Beatty), whose fried chicken chain pays for the car and expects the promotions that come with it. Hal Needham follows Stroker as he pushes back against every gimmick and chases Pembrook Feeney (Loni Anderson), with his place at the top of the circuit riding on whether he can keep both going.
