Struck by Lightning

“What are the odds of surviving high school?”

Carson Phillips (Chris Colfer) is dead before the film starts, killed by a bolt of lightning, and he narrates what led up to it. Brian Dannelly follows his last stretch of high school, where Carson blackmails his classmates into writing for the literary magazine he hopes will get him out of town. By the end he is a body under a sheet, his notebooks still full of everything he meant to say.
