At a suburban high school in 1981, students are being killed one by one by a killer known only as the Breather. Toby Badger (Kristen Riter) and Hardy (Matthew Goldsby) move through the halls while Principal Peters (Joe Talarowski) frets and the dead pile up, each one logged by an onscreen body count. Mickey Rose treats the slasher picture as a genre to be laughed at, since every death is staged with a paper clip, an eraser or an eggplant.
