“A comedy that doesn't let principles stand in the way of progress.”

Oliver Tate (Craig Roberts) is a fifteen-year-old in Swansea who thinks of himself as a deep thinker and narrates his own life to match. He is trying to win over Jordana (Yasmin Paige), a dark-haired classmate, while his parents, Lloyd (Noah Taylor) and Jill (Sally Hawkins), drift apart at home. Richard Ayoade's debut sets both fragile things against each other, and Oliver has to hold his first love and his family's marriage together.
