“He read her story. Then he became part of it.”

Ted Swenson (Stanley Tucci), a celebrated novelist teaching at a small college, wants to write a book that matters again. He finds the spark in Angela Argo (Addison Timlin), a student whose pages are better than anything he has managed in years. His wife Sherrie (Kyra Sedgwick) is still at home, and so is the marriage. Richard Levine, adapting Francine Prose's novel Blue Angel, keeps the camera close on Tucci's face as the professor starts to lose his footing.
