Suburbia

“The kids from... The Wild Side... The Side You've Never Seen.”

In an abandoned tract-home development on the edge of a suburb, a crew of runaways has squatted the empty houses and made a family of the leftovers. Evan Johnson (Bill Coyne), worn down by trouble at home and a sense that he counts for nothing, drifts in and is taken in by Jack Diddley (Chris Pedersen) and the rest. Penelope Spheeris leaves the kids with their spray-painted walls and their dogs, their little home standing bare among the other empty houses.
