Successive Slidings of Pleasure

Alice (Anicée Alvina) is a young woman held by the police and questioned by a panel of judges, who suspect her of being a modern witch. The girl who shared her apartment was found dead, tied to the bedposts, a pair of scissors driven through her heart. Alain Robbe-Grillet keeps Alice and her lawyer Nora (Olga Georges-Picot) circling each other, and the pull between them is the part of the case no one can write down.
