Sudden Death

“Terror goes into overtime.”

Darren McCord (Jean-Claude Van Damme) is a fire marshal who takes his kids, Emily (Whittni Wright) and Tyler (Ross Malinger), to game seven of the Stanley Cup Final in Pittsburgh. Midway through the game, Emily is taken, and Joshua Foss (Powers Boothe) demands a billion dollars before the final buzzer, with payment milestones timed to the clock. Peter Hyams, reuniting with Van Damme after Timecop, ties the whole story to the length of one hockey game.
