“Why would the most popular girl in school wear a mask?”

At a high school where the cheerleading squad is the ruling class, Diane Weston (Marley Shelton) is the head of the A-Squad and the girlfriend of the quarterback, until she turns up pregnant and short on money. Her teammates, including Lisa (Marla Sokoloff) and Kansas (Mena Suvari), decide to fix the problem by robbing a bank. Francine McDougall keeps the pom-poms and the pastels in play, and the plan only works while the five of them stay on the same side.
