Summer '03

“Growing up. One mistake at a time.”

Jamie Winkle (Joey King) is sixteen and wants one summer that belongs to her, even as her family unravels around her. Her grandmother has just revealed a string of secrets from her deathbed, and the relatives are still sorting through them. Becca Gleason writes Jamie's first real stretch of independence next to a family learning how little it knew about the woman at its center.
