Summer Hours

When Hélène (Édith Scob) dies, her three grown children gather to decide what becomes of her house and the collection inside it. Frédéric (Charles Berling) would like to keep everything, while Adrienne (Juliette Binoche) and Jérémie (Jérémie Renier) live far from France and have lives of their own to protect. Olivier Assayas treats the objects as stand-ins for a way of living, and the question is how much of a family can be handed down.
