Summer Rental

“Life is a beach.”

Jack Chester (John Candy), an air traffic controller worn down by the job, is sent on five weeks of paid leave and just wants a calm stretch with his family at the beach. Carl Reiner has the Chesters settle into a rented house in Citrus Cove, Florida, where the trouble starts almost as soon as they arrive. Jack gets pulled into a feud with Al Pellet (Richard Crenna), a sailing champion, and the film is about a man trying to earn his family's respect back.
