Summer Snow

May Sun (Josephine Siao), a housewife in her forties, is already stretched thin by her family when her father-in-law Lin Sun (Roy Chiao), a widower, begins to lose his memory to Alzheimer's disease. Ann Hui sets the household's quarrels and its small comic scrapes beside his decline, and May is the one who ends up looking after him. If she cannot hold her family together while he slips away, nobody else in the house is going to.
