“Love. Magic. Hope.”

Alice (Gemma Arterton), a writer living alone on the English coast during the Second World War, has every intention of sending away the evacuee boy left on her doorstep. Jessica Swale sets her small, solitary routine against Frank (Lucas Bond), a London child with no one else to take him in. The film is about how love gets made between people who never planned on it.
