Sunflower

Giovanna (Sophia Loren) travels to the Soviet Union with one photograph of her husband, Antonio (Marcello Mastroianni), who never came home from the Russian front. Everyone in Italy tells her he is dead, and she will not accept it. Vittorio De Sica follows her through flashbacks of their short marriage and into a search that asks more of her than she planned.
