Sunset Song

Chris Guthrie (Agyness Deyn) works her family's farm in early 1900s Scotland, doing the daily labor beside a father, John Guthrie (Peter Mullan), whose temper rules the household. Terence Davies adapts Lewis Grassic Gibbon's 1932 novel and follows her from girlhood into adult life on the land. Her marriage to Ewan Tavendale (Kevin Guthrie) becomes the bond that the rest of her life is measured against.
