“If it dies, so do we.”

Capa (Cillian Murphy) is the physicist aboard the Icarus II, and he wants to see the bomb he carries do what nothing else can: restart a dying Sun before Earth freezes. It is 2057, a first mission has already failed, and the crew, including Cassie (Rose Byrne) and Mace (Chris Evans), is humanity's last attempt. Danny Boyle fills the ship with close quarters and long silences, so the Sun's light and heat press on every wall.
