“When it happens... there's nothing like it!”

Davy Henshaw (George MacKay) and his friend Ally (Kevin Guthrie) come home to Edinburgh from Afghanistan and have to work out how to live outside the army, with jobs, families and girlfriends to sort out. Dexter Fletcher sets their return to the songs of The Proclaimers, adapted from the stage musical of the same name. Back in the Henshaw house, Davy's parents Rab (Peter Mullan) and Jean (Jane Horrocks) are working out what is left between them.
