“In their town, you don't screw with the law, the law screws with you.”

A small Vermont highway patrol station is where Thorny (Jay Chandrasekhar), Mac (Steve Lemme), Foster (Paul Soter), Rabbit (Erik Stolhanske) and Farva (Kevin Heffernan) pass their shifts. The state is about to cut the department unless they prove they're worth keeping. Chandrasekhar and his Broken Lizard partners play the troopers as friends who needle each other nonstop, with Farva as the one everyone puts up with.
