Superman

“You'll believe a man can fly.”

Clark Kent (Christopher Reeve) takes a reporter's job at the Daily Planet and tries to keep his distance from Lois Lane (Margot Kidder), who sits at the next desk and notices everything. Meanwhile Lex Luthor (Gene Hackman) and his assistant Otis (Ned Beatty) are working on a plan to take over the world, and Clark has to become Superman to stop them. Richard Donner opens on Krypton and a father's farewell, then lets the story rise from a Kansas farm to Metropolis.
