“How do you save humanity when the only thing that's real is you?”

In a near-future city where people control perfect robotic bodies from home, FBI agent Tom Greer (Bruce Willis) investigates a surrogate's murder. He teams with Jennifer Peters (Radha Mitchell) on a case that pulls them toward Dr. Lionel Canter (James Cromwell), the technology's architect, and Prophet (Ving Rhames), who sees the machines as humanity's ruin. Mostow frames the investigation as a kinetic chase through gleaming urban spaces.
