Surviving Christmas

“This year, Christmas comes early. Really early.”

Drew Latham (Ben Affleck), a wealthy executive with no one to spend Christmas with, drives back to his childhood home and finds another family living in it. He offers Tom Valco (James Gandolfini) and his wife Christine (Catherine O'Hara) a large sum to play his parents for the holiday. Mike Mitchell sets Drew against the Valcos' daughter Alicia (Christina Applegate), who is far less willing to go along with the arrangement.
