“IT'S DEATH IN THE DARK! AND MURDER ON ICE!!”

In 1946, Frank Leonard (Albert Dekker) runs an ice-skating revue built around his wife, the star skater Roberta (Belita). He pulls a peanut vendor, Joe Morgan (Barry Sullivan), off the concourse and makes him manager after Joe offers ideas to improve her act. Frank begins to watch how closely Joe attends to Roberta, and Tuttle leaves Frank standing at the edge of the rink, watching.
