(1936)Directed by George Fitzmaurice93 minDrama
“THE TOAST OF GAY PAREE!”

Suzy (Jean Harlow) is a showgirl who marries Andre (Cary Grant), a French air ace, and then learns that her first husband Terry (Franchot Tone) is still alive. The marriage that was supposed to be settled becomes a quiet, awkward ache between the two people in it. George Fitzmaurice directs from a script Dorothy Parker partly wrote, and he keeps the camera close on Harlow's face.
