“We, the people.”

Mohan Bhargav (Shah Rukh Khan) is a scientist who has built a comfortable life in America. Yet he travels to an Indian village to bring his old nanny, Kaveri Amma (Kishori Ballal), back with him, and no one there can tell whether he plans to stay. Gowariker lets the village set the pace and gives the quiet conversations, Gita (Gayatri Joshi) among them, room to run long.
