Swallows and Amazons

“Some summers you treasure forever”

Four Walker children, John (Dane Hughes) and Susan (Orla Hill) among them, finally get permission to camp alone on an island in the middle of a vast lake. They set off thrilled, until they find they may not be the only ones there, and the fight for the island begins, with Nancy Blackett (Seren Hawkes) on the other side. Philippa Lowthorpe shot it in the Lake District, working from Arthur Ransome's 1930 novel.
