Swallowtail Butterfly

“This is the story of Yentowns in Yentown.”

Nobody in Yentown, an alternate-future Japan crowded with outcasts, can say where the money comes from or why everyone wants it. A girl called Ageha (Ayumi Ito) is taken in by a group of them, among them the singer Glico (Chara) and Ryou Ryanki (Yosuke Eguchi). Shunji Iwai shoots the neon streets crowded and saturated, in the cut-and-paste manner of a scrapbook.
