Sweet Sweetback's Baadasssss Song

“YOU BLED MY MOMMA. YOU BLED MY POPPA. BUT YOU WONT BLEED ME.”

Two cops haul Sweetback (Melvin Van Peebles), a man who performs in a Los Angeles sex show, in for questioning, and when they start beating a young Black Panther on the way, he steps in. Now the police want him, and he runs through the ghetto with whatever help neighbors and a few Hells Angels will give. Van Peebles wrote, scored, edited, directed and starred in it himself, and he plays Sweetback as a man who barely speaks, whose only plan is to keep moving.
