“THE ADVENTURE OF ADVENTURES!”

Father (John Mills) and Mother (Dorothy McGuire) are a pioneer couple whose family is thrown ashore on an island after a shipwreck, with only wildlife for neighbors. Sons Fritz (James MacArthur) and the rest of the household set about building a home there, and the island starts to feel like theirs until pirates arrive. Ken Annakin shot it in Tobago, the first Disney film made with Panavision lenses, so the island fills a very wide frame.
