“Steve and Walter used to have a preference for blondes. Then Steve was murdered... and came back as one. Will being a woman make him a better man?”

Steve Brooks is a sexist womanizer, and a group of his former lovers kill him. In heaven he bargains for a way out of hell: return to Earth and win the sincere love of a woman, or his soul goes to the devil. Blake Edwards sends him back as Amanda Brooks (Ellen Barkin), and now Steve has to win that love from inside a woman's life, with Walter Stone (Jimmy Smits) near enough to matter.
