(1988)Directed by Ted Kotcheff105 min · PGComedy
“There's a lot more going on around here than news, weather, and sports.”

In 1988, Christy Colleran (Kathleen Turner) anchors the news at a cable station and is about to quit, marry Blaine Bingham (Christopher Reeve), and leave the business. Her ex-husband John L. Sullivan IV (Burt Reynolds), the network's news chief, runs the newsroom and will not let her walk out the door. Ted Kotcheff directs it as a fast, loud newsroom farce, with people talking over each other and the phones never quiet.
