Sword of the Beast

Yuuki Gennosuke (Mikijiro Hira), a low-ranking swordsman in 1857, has killed a minister for a reform plot and wants only to stay alive and clear his name. The comrades he acted for turn on him, and he takes to the wild like a hunted animal, falling in with a band of men mining the shogun's gold on the sly. Hideo Gosha sets a samurai's loyalty against a world that no longer rewards it, and a man's honor is worth what others will pay for it.
