Swordsman

Ling Wu Chung (Sam Hui) is a young swordsman who wants nothing to do with court politics, but he and his fellow disciple are pulled into the hunt when the Sacred Scroll, a kung-fu manual, is stolen from the Emperor's library. An army detachment is sent to get it back, and Tsui Hark and Tony Ching Siu-tung stage the pursuit as a run of crowded, fast-cut fights. Whoever holds the scroll holds the secret to its martial power, and every faction wants it.
